Ramada by Wyndham Milwaukee

Large rooms are a plus in this hotel. It is usually quiet and the ambient is good. The beds are large and very comfortable. There are several lamps and a usb charging stations with many outlets. Altogether a great stay and I can recommend it.

False Promises The amenities listed for this hotel, are in fact for the Ambassador Hotel across the street. It was not soundproof, had no blackout curtains, and does not have a bar, but the Ambassador Hotel across the street does & the kind woman at the front desk informed us that the Ambassador owns the Ramada, so that justifies the false amenities listed for this hotel. My boyfriend was injured while showering, because the showerhead cracked and hit him in the face, to which there was no manager present to report the accident to. When booking the hotel, I reviewed all charges to make sure I knew what I was paying, and was surprised by a $100 deposit, on top of the room charges & fees, that was mentioned no where on the hotel information or in my pricing summary. That same $100 deposit was not shown on our receipt when we checked out. To park in the hotel parking lot was an extra $20 a day, that was also not mentioned anywhere in the hotel information.

Great hotel within walking distance of the Rave. Staff was friendly, room was clean and perfect for our one night stay. We had a king room on the 6th floor. It was a perfect location to walk right over to the Rave. The street is well lit and there were people all around.

Rooms were clean and nice, but throughout the hotel it smelled bad and the breakfast was disappointing

I had to wait for a long time at the front desk while the clerk did something on her computer before I could check in. The elevator was about the size of a closet. We could barely fit two people and two suitcases in it, and the elevator button didn't light up to show you had pressed it. Our first room had a faulty thermostat, so even though it was set at 68, the actual ltemperature in the room was 75. I partially opened a window, only to discover there were no screens to keep bugs out. We complained about the room temperature and were moved to a different room. Our second room was cooler but it had three light switches, only one of which turned a light on. The rooms had manufactured wood flooring rather than carpeting. On the plus side, the rooms were clean and inexpensive.

I didn’t like that the parking lot was across the street from the hotel and parking cost me $20.00 extra. When I arrived, three hours after the 4:00 pm check in time my room was as warm inside as it was outside. The TV didn’t work and the Wi-fi password was incorrect. After a long day on the road it was not fun to spend another hour or so getting all these issues straightened out.
